1. What we collect
When you place an order, request a quote, or create a client portal account, we collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and company name (if applicable)
- Your delivery address, if provided
- Order, quote, and invoice history
- For machine owners: your machine's serial number, usage hours (reported automatically by Rhino Craft Control), service history, and any support tickets or job cards raised
- Any files, photos, or messages you submit through the client portal (e.g. support tickets, gallery submissions)
We do not collect or store your card or banking details — see Section 3 below.
2. How we use it
- To process and fulfil your orders, quotes, and invoices
- To provide access to your client portal — software downloads, documentation, order history, and support
- To track your machine's service schedule and notify you when a service is due
- To respond to support requests and general enquiries
- To send order confirmations, portal account notifications, and — only with your consent — occasional updates about new products or offers
3. Payments
Card and Instant EFT payments are processed entirely by PayFast, our third-party payment gateway. Your payment details are entered directly on PayFast's secure payment portal, not on our website, and we never see or store your card or banking information. If you pay by direct bank transfer, we only receive proof of payment, not your banking credentials.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share what's necessary with:
- PayFast, to process card and Instant EFT payments
- Delivery/courier providers, where applicable, to fulfil delivery of your order
- Other service providers who help us operate our website, email, and business systems, where necessary
5. Machine usage data
If your machine runs Rhino Craft Control, it automatically reports connected run-time hours back to us whenever it has an internet connection. This is used to track your machine's service schedule and, where relevant, your warranty status. This is disclosed to you directly within Rhino Craft Control itself, and can be viewed at any time from the "Machine Usage" section of the software.
Website visits
We count visits to this website anonymously, so we can see which pages are useful. No cookies are used and no personal information is collected: each visit is counted with a code that cannot identify you and changes every day, and IP addresses are not stored. Search engine robots are not counted.
6. Data security
Our website and client portal are served over SSL-encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Client portal accounts are password-protected, and we take reasonable technical measures to keep your information secure.
7. Your rights
Under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
