Rhino Innovations SA: Terms, Conditions & Warranty

1. General Trading & Payment
Validity: Online quotes are valid for 5 calendar days.
Payment: Full payment is required for all "Makers Items" and custom "Send-Cut-Send" (DXF) orders. CNC Machinery requires a 70% deposit to begin build, with the 30% balance due before delivery/collection.
Lead Times: Standard lead time for custom machinery is 14–21 business days, subject to component availability.
2. Send-Cut-Send (DXF) Service Policy
Client Responsibility: Rhino Innovations SA cuts exactly as per the uploaded DXF. We are not liable for design errors, scale issues, or incorrect material selection by the Client.
Tolerances: Standard plasma cutting tolerance is +/- 1mm. Please account for a 1.5mm–2.0mm kerf in your designs.
3. CNC Machinery Limited Warranty
Rhino Innovations SA warrants our CNC machines against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use:
Duration: 12 Months from the date of delivery/collection.
Workmanship: We warrant the structural integrity of the frame and assembly for the full 12 months.
Components: Mechanical and electronic components (Motors, Controllers, Bearings, Rails) carry a 6-month replacement warranty.
Exclusions (Wear & Tear): This warranty does not cover "Consumables," including:
Plasma electrodes, nozzles, and shields.
Router bits and collets.
Drive belts.
X, Y, Z Axis Carraige Bearings.
X, Y Axis Rack And Pinion Motor Pulleys.
Z Axis Ball Screw Nut.
Couplers and end bearings blocks.
These items are considered service parts and will require servicing or replacement over time.
Voiding of Warranty: This warranty is void if:
The machine is modified or repaired by unauthorized persons.
The machine is damaged by power surges or lightning (we highly recommend surge protection).
The machine is used for materials or tasks beyond its rated capacity.
Standard materials reccomended cutting on the CNC Router - Wood, Acrylic, Perspex, ACM/ACP. Although it is capable of cutting other materials we do not reccomend it for that use and any damage to the machine or to the materials in the use of non mentioned material list will not make Rhino Innovations SA liable in any way.
4. Professional Services (Labor & Repairs)
Workmanship Warranty: We provide a 3-month (90-day) warranty on all repair labor.
On-Site Service: Travel/Call-out fees are non-refundable. Warranty repairs performed on-site may still incur a travel fee if the machine is located outside our standard service radius.
5. Makers Items (Wooden Products)
Sales Policy: All pre-made wooden toys and items are sold "as-is." Due to the nature of wood, minor natural warping or checking (small cracks) is expected and not considered a defect. No formal warranty is offered on these items.
6. Shipping, Risk & Returns
Third-Party Couriers: Risk of damage passes to the Client once the item is collected by the courier (The Courier Guy, DHL, etc.).
Custom Goods: Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), custom-made goods (DXF cuts and custom CNC machines) are non-refundable once production has commenced, unless a material manufacturing defect is proven.
Unclaimed Goods: Items left for more than 30 days will incur storage fees.
Completion & Final Payment:
Rhino Innovations SA will provide a formal "Completion Notice" via email/WhatsApp once manufacturing is finished. The outstanding balance is due in full within 7 business days of this notice. Machines will not be released for collection or delivery until the balance and any accrued fees are cleared.
Production Obstruction & Storage Fees:
Due to the significant footprint of the machinery and the resulting obstruction to our manufacturing workflow, a daily Production Obstruction Fee of R450.00 will be charged for any machine not collected within 10 business days of the Completion Notice.
Material Breach & Right to Resell:
If the balance remains unpaid and the machine uncollected for more than 30 calendar days from the Completion Notice, the Client will be considered in "Material Breach of Contract." Rhino Innovations SA reserves the right to:
Cancel the agreement and resell the machine to a third party to recover costs.
Retain the Deposit as a "Reasonable Cancellation Penalty" (as per Section 17 of the CPA) to cover non-recoverable custom labor, specialized materials, and lost production time.
7. Indemnity
Rhino Innovations SA is not liable for any consequential loss, loss of profit, or downtime caused by machine failure or delivery delays. Our total liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the faulty part under the terms above.
8. Software & Training.
Rhino Innovations SA provides the following software and training ONLY.
Machine opperation training - this includes but not limited to the safe use of the machine. Machine movement, setting of origin within the opperation software, axis training and oritientation, VFD parrameter training. If the machine is equipt with a fully stand alone offline controller then the training is aimed towards the specific controller.
NO software or training will be provided on the options and use of CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing) software such as - Autodesk Fusion 360, Solidworks, Aspire, Easel, FreeCAD etc. This is the client ("buyer") resposibility to ensure they are equipt with the needed knowledge and skills to do designs and setup toolpaths.
